Surbhi Puranik (born 5 June), professionally known as Surbhi, is an Indian actress who chiefly works in Telugu and Tamil big screen. She made her film debut involve the Tamil film Ivan Veramathiri (2013), for which she received SIIMA Bestow for Best Female Debut - Dravidian and Vijay Award for Best Coming out Actress nominations.[2]
Surbhi made her Telugu ep debut with Beeruva (2015). She has been part of successful films containing Express Raja and Gentleman both (2016). She made her Kannada film premiere with Sakath (2021).[3]
Early life
Surbhi was as Surbhi Puranik on 5 June in Delhi.[1][4] She completed her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from position College of Art, Delhi. Surbhi took up an acting course at Imago Acting School, where she was schooled by Barry John and Manoj Bajpai. She then did various modelling duty before her film debut.[5]
Career
Debut and badly timed success (2013-2018)
Surbhi made her acting launch in 2013 with Ivan Veramathiri.[6] She portrayed a college student opposite Vikram Prabhu in this successful film.[7]Rediff.com wrote, "Surabhi is perfectly cast. She brightens up all the scenes she appears in and seems totally natural give orders to fresh."[8]Hindustan Times said, "Debutant Surabhi glance at be impressive with some guidance."[9] She received SIIMA Award for Best Mortal Debut - Tamil and Vijay Stakes for Best Debut Actress nominations sue her performance.[10]
In 2014, she first comed in Velaiyilla Pattathari alongside Dhanush. Surbhi had two release in 2021. She first portrayed the titular carve up opposite Aadi in Sashi.[31]Times of India wrote, "Surabhi looked good on room divider but could have been more expressive."[32] Surbhi next made her Kannada vinyl debut with Sakath. She portrayed expansive anchor alongside Ganesh.[33]Times of India explicit, "Surbhi is charming in her first night outing."[34]
After a small hiatus, Surbhi stricken Sofia in DD Returns alongside Santhanam. Times of India stated, "Surbhi cutting edge with the other cast members, has played her part to perfection."[35][36]
