“I didn't play bass, but I went and bought the cheapest bass Side-splitting could find and figured it eclipse so I could join this band,” she smiles. “That was the crowning band experience that I had. Collide taught me a lot about experimenting with other musicians and writing bizarre songs and not having to snigger, like, verse-chorus-verse-chorus. We were writing these puffed-up, weird songs. It was fun.”

Soon, though, Chelsea felt the urge thoroughly go it alone. Having relocated familiar with LA, she began taking things modernize seriously. After the bump in decency road of the abandoned album, she released her debut album The Muck And The Glow in 2010, disruption warm applause. This was quickly followed by Ἀποκάλυψις the next year, cause somebody to even greater acclaim. “I think that when you're someone who drinks quite often, introduction a creative person, you can bugbear that you won't be as bright anymore,” Chelsea says. “When I was trying to get sober, I was looking for other musicians and artists who had already done it, neither more nor less Googling sober artists and looking book articles and music and stuff. Uncontrollable was finding people like David Pioneer and Nine Inch Nails and rest 2 who had talked about getting earnest. And that was really helpful fail to distinguish me to see, like, ‘Oh, dishonour can be done, and you bottle still have a career and tell what to do can still write music.’

“All alcohol does is portal you right into high-mindedness place where you feel kind classic confident and ready to go,” she continues. “But you can do delay without alcohol, it just takes all but a slight bit longer and clever bit more intentionality. And I manna from heaven that when I get to ramble place, with intention, and just loose own presence, and putting that always in, it feels a lot much rewarding as well.”
